Responsibilities
Requirements
- Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, including AIA and custom agreements.
- Advise clients on project risk management, regulatory compliance, and lien law matters.
- Represent clients in construction defect claims, delay disputes, and payment controversies.
- Handle mediation, arbitration, and state and federal court litigation.
- Support both public and private sector clients on large-scale development and infrastructure projects.
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor to general contractors, developers, and design professionals.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor (JD) and 5 or more years of construction law experience.
- Extensive experience with construction litigation, defect claims, and complex transactions.
- Strong knowledge of AIA contracts, lien law, and Florida construction regulations.
- Proven ability to work effectively with both public and private sector clients.
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
- Strong client service mindset and ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
