We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager who specializes in Commercial Development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of all aspects of commercial construction. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all stages of our construction projects, from design and pre-construction through completion. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale commercial construction projects, including ground-up construction and tenant improvements. Your role is to ensure that our projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing project development from initiation to closure.
2. Be accountable for project results, delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting client expectations.
3. Coordinate with architects, subcontractors, and construction teams to ensure the project is executed according to the agreed plan.
4. Review and approve project plans and designs, ensuring they meet necessary specifications and regulations.
5. Manage all project costs, including procurement of materials and services, labor costs, and project overheads.
6. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure standards are met.
7. Prepare and present project progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
8. Manage risk and implement crisis management plans to handle issues as they arise.
9. Handle change orders and bidding processes efficiently and effectively.
10. Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related matters, resolving any issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 7 years' experience in commercial construction management, with a focus on ground-up construction and tenant improvements.
3. Proven experience in managing large-scale commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
4. Proficient in construction management software, including AutoCAD.
5. Strong knowledge of construction processes, means and methods, and legal regulations.
6. Experience in managing budgets, schedules, and resources.
7. Proven ability to manage and coordinate with a team of professionals, including architects, engineers, and contractors.
8. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and resolve conflicts.
9. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risk.
10. Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
