Responsibilities:
As a Consulting CMT Technician, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting laboratory and field testing of construction materials such as soil, concrete, and asphalt.
2. Reviewing project specifications to determine appropriate testing methods and procedures.
3. Documenting test results and preparing detailed reports, including analysis and interpretation of data.
4. Consulting with project teams and clients to provide technical guidance and recommendations based on test results.
5. Assisting with the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols.
6. Maintaining and calibrating testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
7. Participating in project meetings and providing input on material selection, design, and construction methods.
8. Collaborating with the engineering team to resolve material-related issues and challenges.
9. Keeping up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in construction material testing techniques and technologies.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this exciting role, you will need:
1. 1-2 years of experience in construction materials testing.
2. ACI Field Grade 1 certification preferred.
3. Familiarity with standard testing procedures and protocols for construction materials.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
6. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
7. Proficiency in operating testing equipment and relevant software.
8. Strong commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations and standards.
9. Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to various project sites.
