Job Details
Lead Construction Estimator or Pre Construction Manager
Should have some of the following...
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects is required
Review, create, submit quality estimates with detailed proposals
Prepare high level quantity and manpower take-offs
Prospect and procure new opportunities for bid
Comprehensively analyze plans, specifications, proposals and additional documentation to prepare bid estimates for projects
Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, jobsite walk-throughs, bids, and coordination meetings
Must maintain an extremely professional working relationship with clients, subcontractors, and peers
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Desire and determination to succeed
Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and years of experience
The ability to proficiently provide estimates & estimating services
Experience with conceptual and schematic design budgeting
Computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff preferred
Knowledge of construction processes and terminology
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Excellent math skills
Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
Ability to fully understand plans and specifications
Minimum 3 years of experience as a commercial construction estimator
