We are seeking a Project Executive to lead civic and public sector construction work, providing executive oversight across multiple projects while supporting client engagement, team leadership, financial performance, safety, quality, and long-term market growth.
Job Description
Provide executive oversight for civic, public sector, and education construction projects
Lead project portfolios that may include ground-up construction, tenant improvements, and public works projects
Build and maintain long-term relationships with city, county, state, and federal clients
Partner with estimating, preconstruction, and operations teams to develop project execution strategies
Support project pursuits, proposals, client meetings, and key project milestones
Guide and mentor Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Project Engineers across multiple teams
Monitor project financial performance, schedule adherence, quality, safety, and risk
Work with field leadership and safety teams to ensure consistent execution across active job sites
Oversee client account planning and targeted market growth initiatives
Support staffing plans, team development, and resource planning across the civic market
Lead executive-level communication with owners, agencies, design teams, and internal leadership
Help resolve project challenges related to cost, schedule, contracts, staffing, and client expectations
Qualifications
12+ years of commercial construction experience
5+ years of senior leadership experience overseeing project teams or project portfolios
Strong background managing public works, civic, municipal, education, or government construction projects
Experience with civic or public sector projects valued at $20M+ preferred
Strong understanding of city, county, state, and federal client expectations
Experience with public project delivery methods, including hard bid work
Ability to oversee multiple projects, teams, budgets, schedules, and client relationships
Strong business acumen with experience in financial management, forecasting, and client negotiation
Experience partnering with estimating, preconstruction, operations, field, and safety teams
Proficiency with Procore, P6, MS Project, construction budgeting platforms, or similar tools
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
Strong leadership, communication, mentoring, and client relationship skills
