Job Details

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure effective departmental communication and coordination. Reporting to a Senior PM or Program Manager, you will oversee various aspects of project execution and may be responsible for supervising Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, Sub-Contractors, and Suppliers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Project Documentation: Adhere to all procedures to meticulously detail, measure, and document project requirements according to established guidelines.

Submittals/Material Management: Ensure compliance with all project submittal requirements. Maintain an accurate log and tracked submittal status, prioritizing approval with a sense of urgency.

Relationships: Foster a collaborative team approach to all projects, cultivating positive relationships with all stakeholders, including customers, resident engineers, foremen, construction managers, key suppliers, and subcontractors.

Financial Management: Track and provide real-time reporting on cost versus budget information. Accurately forecast financial status and ensure timely invoicing for 100% of work completed during each pay period.

Plan/Specifications: Thoroughly study and understand plan/spec requirements for all assigned work. Ensure the project team has access to and understands the most up-to-date documents.

Project Labor Units: Gain a comprehensive understanding of estimated labor units and accurately track them throughout the project.

Schedule Management: Develop and update comprehensive schedules, including baseline, two-week, one-week, and daily schedules, reflecting accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontract time requirements. Continuously measure and report on the schedule's progress against actual performance, implementing necessary corrective actions.

Safety: Complete a comprehensive Job Hazard Analysis before the Pre-Construction Meeting and ensure its presence on-site at all times. Maintain a safe and legally compliant work environment.

Integrity: Promptly and reasonably address any internal team issues and conflicts, as well as external client concerns and issues, ensuring a resolution that upholds our commitment to integrity.

Recruiting: Actively participate in identifying potential Project Managers, both internally and externally, and engage in mentoring, recruiting, and training project management candidates, Project Engineers, and Assistant Project Managers.

Qualifications:

3-6 years of relevant experience in project management.
Proficiency in print reading, including the ability to interpret prints and produce accurate take-offs.
Strong aptitude for learning and sourcing labor units for assigned work.
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, P6, and HCSS.
