Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of construction project management from planning to implementation.
  • Allocate resources for assigned projects.
  • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
  • Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
  • Prepare and present reports on the progress and success of each project to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure all necessary permits and legal paperwork are in place.
  • Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.
  • Direct the coordination of all project activities for timely completion.
  • Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced.
  • Continually review the contractor’s construction schedule during the progress of site works with regards to project completion deadlines.
  • Ensure all work complies with building regulations and health and safety legislation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in construction project management, preferably within the retail, restaurant, education, and healthcare sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Professional Project Management (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and drive projects to completion.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
