Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Construction Project Manager to join our thriving construction team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented individual to leverage their skills in construction, project management, MS Project, steel, Procore, storage unit, and construction management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects, from planning to completion, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, including reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
2. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand expectations and work is progressing on schedule and within budget.
3. Review work progress on a daily basis, resolving any emerging issues swiftly and professionally.
4. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists, making effective decisions that drive project success.
5. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
6. Analyze, manage and mitigate risks, ensuring all safety precautions are adhered to.
7. Use software such as MS Project and Procore to plan, schedule, and monitor project progress.
8. Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
9. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status and present them to stakeholders.
10. Implement a comprehensive project plan to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of proven working experience in construction project management.
3. Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
4. Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
5. Proficiency in construction project management software, including MS Project and Procore.
6. Understanding of all facets of the construction process, including competency in construction, project management, steel, and storage units.
7. Ability to plan and see the “big picture”, with excellent time and project management skills.
8. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of different team members.
9. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, with a solid understanding of handling and mitigating project risks.
10. Ability to problem solve, negotiate, and make decisions that benefit the project.
