Qualifications:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for residential and small commercial renovation/remodeling projects.
- Analyze project specifications and blueprints to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of construction projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations.
- Provide detailed explanations of cost estimates and project timelines.
- Coordinate and prepare competitive bid packages.
- Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate terms to ensure project profitability.
- Monitor project budgets and expenses, identifying and addressing potential cost overruns.
- Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Develop and review project contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Address contract modifications and change orders in collaboration with clients and subcontractors.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure work meets industry standards and client expectations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
- Identify and assess project risks, developing strategies to mitigate and manage potential challenges.
- Maintain a proactive approach to resolving issues to prevent delays and disruptions.
- Work closely with construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Foster a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including plans, permits, and correspondence.
- Prepare regular reports on project status, budgets, and timelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Estimator/Project Manager in residential and small commercial renovation/remodeling construction.
- Strong proficiency in construction estimating software and project management tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
- Understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
