Job Details

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry best practices.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of worksites, equipment, and facilities to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions.
Provide safety training and education programs for employees, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to integrate safety considerations into project planning, design, and execution.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety inspections, training, incidents, and regulatory compliance.
Stay current on emerging safety trends, regulations, and technologies to continuously improve safety practices and procedures.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management, preferably in the construction, engineering, or related industry.
Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) are highly desirable.
In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and industry standards.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire a culture of safety excellence.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and engage employees at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
