We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Construction Site Superintendent in the Energy industry. This role is pivotal in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction, planning, design execution, resource allocation, and problem-solving. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Review and interpret project blueprints, plans, and other specifications.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their duties and deliver on their responsibilities.
  • Meet contractual conditions of performance, providing regular updates to senior management on the progress of projects.
  • Review work progress on a daily basis, identifying any issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Ensure all safety guidelines and regulations are adhered to at all times, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists, fostering a cooperative environment.
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones, using excellent problem-solving skills to navigate any challenges.
  • Allocate resources effectively, ensuring optimal use of materials, machinery, and labor.
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain necessary permits and licenses.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction supervisory role, preferably within the energy sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in project management and supervision, with a strong understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction details and quality standards.
  • Proficient in construction software programs.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a strong decision-making capability.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Demonstrated understanding of construction laws and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A strong commitment to safety and knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes in work priorities.
