We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on multi-family construction projects, where you will be responsible for overseeing all stages of the project from pre-construction planning to completion. As a Construction Superintendent, you will be the main point of contact for on-site operations and will work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise all stages of the multi-family construction process, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.
2. Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring all work is carried out according to plans and specifications.
3. Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and standards, maintaining a safe and clean job site at all times.
4. Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals, providing regular updates on project status.
5. Resolve any problems or issues that arise during construction, making necessary adjustments to plans and schedules as needed.
6. Conduct quality control inspections to ensure that workmanship and materials meet or exceed standards.
7. Manage and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring they perform their duties efficiently and effectively.
8. Review and approve all subcontractor and vendor invoices and change orders.
9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress reports, site logs, and safety reports.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a construction superintendent, specifically in multi-family construction.
2. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, equipment, safety protocols, and industry regulations.
3. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate construction crews and subcontractors.
4. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction
professionals.
6. Proficiency in construction management software and other relevant computer applications.
7. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
8. Physically capable of performing job duties, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
9. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality workmanship.
10. Valid driver’s license.
