Job Details

Job Overview: The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all phases of general contracting projects, from initial planning through to successful project completion. This leadership position requires managing and directing field operations, ensuring the project is executed efficiently, within budget, and on schedule, while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. The Superintendent will collaborate closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery, timely resolution of challenges, and the achievement of client satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise construction crews and subcontractors across multiple projects, ensuring effective coordination and execution.
Conduct daily reviews of project schedules and collaborate with crew teams to optimize efficiency and maintain timelines.
Attend pre-construction site walks with designers and clients to thoroughly understand the project scope and requirements.
Develop and manage detailed project schedules, encompassing labor allocation, material delivery, and key deadlines.
Monitor project progress against established schedules and budgets, proactively identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions to stay on track.
Oversee and manage change orders, ensuring proper documentation and client approval.
Ensure all construction activities adhere to safety regulations and company safety protocols, fostering a culture of safety on-site.  Inspect ongoing work to uphold quality standards and identify any discrepancies with the approved designs.
Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure their work aligns seamlessly with the overall project plan and objectives.
Maintain frequent, professional, and timely communication with clients and supervisors, providing updates and addressing concerns promptly.
Provide support and guidance to Crew Foremen to ensure smooth project operations.
Facilitate training for new crew team members, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet project requirements.
Collaborate closely with supervisors to ensure seamless alignment on scheduling, quality control, and customer service objectives, ensuring project consistency and client satisfaction.
Take on additional responsibilities and projects as needed, contributing to the success of a fast paced, growth-driven, and entrepreneurial company.
Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management and/or supervisory roles.
Proven leadership abilities to effectively supervise, motivate, and manage construction crews.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Strong proficiency in managing budgets, schedules, and project timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring consistency and quality across all assignments.
Hands-on experience with construction equipment, including Skid Steer Loaders, trenchers, trucks with hitch trailers, and other machinery (preferred).
Solid understanding of irrigation systems and landscape controllers.
Proficient with computers, smartphones, and landscape construction software, enabling effective project tracking and communication.
Strong attention to detail while maintaining the ability to focus on the overall project scope and objectives.
