Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Construction Superintendent for our growing team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing large scale construction projects and leading teams to successful project completion. This role requires a dynamic individual who is capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and has a deep understanding of project management, construction management, and construction safety.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all aspects of the construction project from planning to implementation.
2. Allocate resources for assigned projects.
3. Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
4. Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
5. Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
6. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
7. Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
8. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
9. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
10. Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
11. Ensure all onsite and offsite constructions are compliant with building and safety regulations.
12. Conduct daily huddles, safety meetings, and weekly project update meetings.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a construction superintendent role.
3. In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
4. Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
5. Good knowledge of MS Office and construction/project management software.
6. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
7. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
8. Ability to lead and manage teams.
9. A team player with leadership abilities.
10. PMP or an equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
11. Proven experience overseeing large construction projects.
12. Excellent knowledge of construction material and equipment.
13. Must be able to read blueprints, structural drawings, and plan sets.
14. Advanced understanding of risk management policies and procedures.
15. Extensive experiencing managing budgets for large construction projects.
16. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
