We are currently seeking a dynamic, experienced, and detail-oriented Permanent Construction Superintendent to join our team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the daily operations of construction sites, from planning to completion. You will be the point person for on-site operations, making sure that construction is carried out according to set plans and schedules. Your work will involve coordinating a team of professionals such as architects, erectors, and other construction workers to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. This position requires a deep understanding of architectural metal and glass, as well as a knack for effective communication, problem-solving, and leadership.

- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
- Review and study project specifications and architectural drawings to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring subcontractors and working with engineers, architects, and vendors.
- Supervise a team of construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they complete tasks on time and to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate and oversee the work of erectors in the installation of architectural metal and glass.
- Monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and staff at all levels.
- Conduct quality control checks, ensuring the safety and effectiveness of the construction site at all times.
- Resolve any problems that may arise and ensure the construction project is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role in the construction industry.
- Proven experience working with architectural metal and glass.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, OSHA guidelines, and building codes.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in construction management software.
- A degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Valid certification in construction safety and an up-to-date understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet construction deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to various construction sites as required.
