We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Construction Superintendent to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to bring your leadership abilities, problem-solving skills, and passion for construction to a thriving company. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a deep understanding of construction processes, excellent team leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously. Your expertise in construction management, quality control, scheduling, construction safety, risk management, blueprint reading, materials management, subcontractor management, building codes, and site management will be critical to your success in this role.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of construction projects from initial planning to completion.
2. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
3. Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors.
4. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
5. Maintain strict quality control procedures and conduct regular checks to ensure quality standards are met.
6. Develop and maintain project schedules, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changes in project scope or unforeseen issues.
7. Manage risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
8. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
9. Manage materials and inventory to ensure adequate supplies for ongoing construction projects.
10. Communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
11. Lead and motivate construction team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
12. Resolve any issues or disputes that may arise during the construction process.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role in the construction industry.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of construction processes, quality control, scheduling, construction safety, risk management, blueprint reading, materials management, subcontractor management, and building codes.
4. Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
9. Familiarity with construction planning, site inspections, and managing change orders.
10. Proven track record of successfully completing construction projects on time and within budget.
11. Certification in construction safety and risk management is a plus.
