Job Details
Our client is both a service and product that includes architecture, engineering, manufacturing, logistics and construction. This conversion of construction to a manufactured process represents a new industry and opens demand for industrial engineers able to drive process improvement. Since its founding in 2010, BLOX has worked to achieve single piece flow on takt, controlled visually – it remains a work in progress.
They are needing a result focused, intelligent, and experienced industrial engineer to lead teams to extend manufacturing systems from the factory to the job site. They must be ready, willing, and able to:
Essential Functions
1. Lead the development, integration, and implementation of new processes and workflows across operations.
2. Evaluate current-state processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement actions to achieve future-state goals
3. Lead cross-functional teams through root cause analysis, value stream mapping, and continuous improvement activities.
4. Develop, document, implement, and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across the organization.
5. Ensure process quality through the development and validation of standardized procedures
6. Initiate and complete business case reviews for projects to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Employee Morale (SQDCM).
7. Conduct process trials and document process changes with clear justifications and impact analysis. Required Education and Experience
Education BS or MS in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Experience 5-10+ years in manufacturing and 5+ years in process engineering Competencies
1. Proven experience in project management; ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with MS Business Central, Atlassian Jira would be a plus.
3. Demonstrated experience with structured problem-solving methodologies such as Toyota Production System (TPS) 8-Step, DMAIC, or similar.
4. Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
5. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with extended or flexible hours possible to support organizational demands.
Travel < 10%
