We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Continuous Improvement Manager to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and improving overall performance. This is a permanent position that requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles and a proven track record in implementing continuous improvement strategies.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the development and implementation of continuous improvement strategies and initiatives across the organization, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency and reducing waste.
2. Facilitate cross-functional team efforts to identify process inefficiencies, develop solutions, and implement changes.
3. Lead lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma, to improve process flow and eliminate non-value-added activities.
4. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees about continuous improvement concepts and techniques.
5. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of continuous improvement initiatives and make necessary adjustments.
6. Collaborate with all levels of management to foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
7. Provide leadership and guidance to a team of continuous improvement professionals, fostering an environment of teamwork and collaboration.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a continuous improvement role within the engineering or manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience in implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies, with a track record of tangible results.
4. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving operational excellence.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and develop effective solutions.
6. Proficiency in using continuous improvement tools and methodologies, including 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization.
8. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
9. Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies are a plus.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with project management software is a plus.
