We are on the lookout for a dynamic and diligent Contract Attorney specializing in Litigation to join our team on a permanent basis. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of legal issues, providing quality legal services to our esteemed clients. The successful candidate will have a focus on Litigation and Case Management, and will be proficient in handling Intake, wage and hour issues, and written complaints.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Contract Attorney (Litigation), you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:
1. Represent clients in court proceedings, presenting evidence to support the case and cross-examining witnesses.
2. Conduct extensive legal research to support case preparation and provide legal advice.
3. Manage all phases of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings, discovery, and through trial, settlement, or appeal.
4. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
5. Handle intake, wage and hour issues, and written complaints efficiently.
6. Develop case strategies and manage case progress to ensure timely resolution.
7. Collaborate with a team of attorneys and paralegals to ensure the best outcome for our clients.
8. Regularly update clients on case progress and potential legal issues.
9. Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the California Bar with a good standing record.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Litigation and Case Management.
4. Proven experience in handling intake, wage and hour issues, and written complaints.
5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
8. Proficient in legal research and writing.
9. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
10. High level of professional ethics and integrity.
