The Contract Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of contract administration and procurement for our construction projects, ensuring compliance with federal contracting regulations. The candidate must have a strong background in electrical knowledge, blueprint comprehension, and electrical engineering to bid on the Federal GSA/NSA schedule.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and negotiate construction contracts and related documents.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with federal contracting regulations, particularly GSA and NSA.
- Prepare and submit bids for federal contracts, utilizing the SAM.gov platform.
- Manage the entire federal acquisition process, ensuring all steps are completed accurately and on time.
- Track and monitor project costs, making adjustments as necessary to stay within budget.
- Provide expert advice on construction estimating and bid preparation.
- Understand and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure contract terms are met.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management, procurement, or a similar role in the construction industry.
- Proven experience with construction estimating, bid preparation, supplier management, and cost tracking.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and blueprint comprehension.
- Familiarity with the GSA schedule and federal contracting compliance.
- Experience with preparing RFPs and bidding for federal contracts.
- Must be registered on SAM.gov and familiar with the federal acquisition process.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- High level of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
