We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Controller to join our Construction Development team in the Accounting + Finance industry. This role requires a dynamic professional who can effectively manage and oversee the financial operations of our construction projects. The successful candidate will have a solid background in construction accounting, with proficiency in Construction WIP, WIP, AIA, AIA invoicing, Time and materials (T&M), Sage, Timberline, and Vista Viewpoint. This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

2. Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.

3. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.

4. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.

5. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.

6. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.

7. Support month-end and year-end close process.

8. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

9. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

10. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

11. Additional controller duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

1. Proven working experience as a Financial Controller in the Construction Industry.

2. 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.

3. Advanced degree in Accounting.

4. CPA or CMA preferred.

5. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

6. Experience with creating financial statements.

7. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

8. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.

9. Must have experience with Construction WIP, WIP, AIA, AIA invoicing, Time and materials (T&M), Sage, Timberline, and Vista Viewpoint.

10. Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.

11. Adept at planning, prioritizing, multi-tasking, organizing, and following through, while remaining highly energetic and focused.

12. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
