Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the accounting operations including WIP, Inventory, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to executive management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Manage the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and tax filings.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and external auditors to ensure all audit issues are resolved, and all compliance issues are met, and the preparation of the annual financial statements is in accordance with U.S. GAAP and federal, state and other required supplementary schedules and information.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or related certification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the logistics industry.
  • Proven knowledge and expertise in WIP and Inventory.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g., SAP).
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
