Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all company accounts and investments.
  • Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports appropriate for users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit with approved external auditor.
  • Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures as required to ensure that personnel and financial information is secure.
  • Work with the restaurant managers to prepare budgets and track profit/loss performance by business unit and on a consolidated basis.
  • Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met including Charitable Status, Sales Tax, Payroll Tax, Income Tax, and other necessary requirements.
  • Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting.
  • Oversee the bookkeeping function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
  • Collaborate with the senior management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of our company.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the restaurant industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks software.
  • Proven experience in financial project management.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly with Excel.
  • Experience in creating financial statements, general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities in a dynamic fast pace environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate staff.
  • Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
  • Passion for the restaurant industry.
