We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Controller who is ready to take their career to the next level. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in managing our financial operations. The successful candidate will have a clear path to becoming our next Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This role requires a strong understanding of accounting and finance principles, as well as the ability to lead and inspire a team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for driving financial performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • CPA or CPA tracking is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance or accounting role.
  • Proven experience with financial statement preparation, annual budgeting, and ledger/GL management.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and financial best practices, laws, and standards.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in accounting software and applications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
