As a Permanent Controller in our Engineering department, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all financial aspects of our manufacturing operations. This position is not for the faint-hearted but for a dynamic, results-driven professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for process improvement. You will be at the helm of cost accounting, financial statements, inventory accounting, and audit processes. Your expertise will be vital in driving the financial health and profitability of our company.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies.
  • Manage and track the performance of invested assets in alignment with our company’s policies and investment strategy.
  • Lead and conduct internal audits for tax codes, payments, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, etc. and report the results with suggested actions.
  • Implement and manage cost accounting systems and activities, including standard cost development, average pricing analysis, margin and cost ratio analysis, inventory control procedures, and manufacturing costs.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to optimize productivity and operational efficiency, utilizing Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Collaborate with management teams to make financial decisions, develop financial strategic planning, and provide advice on long-term business and financial planning.
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar role within the manufacturing or engineering industry.
  • Solid knowledge of cost accounting, financial statement preparation, inventory accounting, and internal auditing.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, databases, and financial analysis applications.
  • Strong working knowledge of Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial managers.
  • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems promptly.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate.
