We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Permanent Controller to join our team in the Tech Services industry. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our financial strength and integrity. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall financial operations, providing accurate and timely financial reports, and ensuring that the company complies with all regulatory standards. Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, risk management, and financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR, DCAA/DCMA, CAS/FAR/Business systems, and US Government contracting requirements.
- Develop and manage the cost accounting system to accurately capture all costs associated with the company's operations.
- Provide financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers to the senior management team.
- Manage the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
- Ensure the company's financial systems are robust, compliant, and support current activities and future growth.
- Lead and coordinate the budgeting process, including the development and review of departmental and overall company budgets.
- Take ultimate responsibility for the company cash management policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position in the Tech Services industry.
- Strong knowledge of FAR/DFAR, DCAA/DCMA, CAS/FAR/Business systems, Cost Accounting, and US Government contracting.
- Proven experience in financial analysis and forecasting.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate staff.
- Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Significant experience in profitability analysis and strategic planning.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software; proficiency in accounting software and databases.
