Job Details
This person is going to have the ability to grow to CFO
Responsibilities
Data entry and Account coding
Account reconciliations (multiple bank accounts)
Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Schedule and Accruals
Review of financial statements for variance analysis
Recording of adjusting journal entries, as necessary
o Manage the exchange of information to external accountants
o Additional office duties to ensure day to day operations run smoothly
o Coordinate with external CPA group for compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements, annual audit and tax filings
Skills:
Responsibilities
- Review/assist of completion of month, quarter and year end close for multiple entities:
Data entry and Account coding
Account reconciliations (multiple bank accounts)
Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Schedule and Accruals
Review of financial statements for variance analysis
Recording of adjusting journal entries, as necessary
- Reviewing all financial statements and ledgers for reasonableness and accuracy
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and financial statements
- Perform monthly payroll duties when necessary
- Handle subscription agreements for investors
- Handle communications with investors
- Point of contact for all accounting inquiries
- Financial analysis on all prospective acquisitions and real estate investment transactions
- Perform portfolio performance analysis including IRR, Yield, NOI, etc. and forward-looking financial statements for the real estate funds
- Perform additional research and special projects as needed
- Oversight of all insurance and liability insurance
- Reviewing current processes for efficiencies
- Analytical problem-solving skills with capability to undertake detailed analyses and make well-reasoned, decisive recommendations
- Additional Duties:
o Manage the exchange of information to external accountants

Skills:
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and be self-motivated
- Manage and train team members on accounting functions and workflows as needed
- Working with the other accounting personnel in the oversight of the financial and accounting systems
- Ability to provide guidance and direction to department staff who are not direct reports
- Create and maintain current accounting procedures while following and analyzing financial trends Identify leading KPI’s, prepare forward looking forecasts to assist in long term business plans
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- 5 + years of accounting experience preferred
- Related software experience with Yardi, Excel, RealPage, preferred but not required.
- High Attention to Detail is essential
- Be able to work well in a laid back, team environment
- CPA Designation, preferred but not required
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting requirements
- Previous work in property management or with alternative investments is, preferred but
