Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the company's financial operations and ensure all accounting processes are completed accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Conduct regular audits of financial processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Manage the general ledger and perform monthly closing procedures
  • Prepare and review monthly labor reports, quarterly payroll taxes, and other financial reports as needed
  • Conduct costing reviews to ensure that all projects are completed within budget and on time
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations
  • Provide financial analysis and guidance to senior management to help inform business decisions
  • Manage and mentor junior accounting staff to ensure they are meeting performance goals and developing their skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Experience with WIP closing, monthly labor reports, quarterly payroll taxes, costing review, and general ledger closing
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Experience with accounting software such as Sage is preferred
