We are recruiting for an experienced Controller with current CPA credentials and experience working in the non-profit sector.

Job Details

We are seeking a Controller to join our dynamic team in the Non-Profit industry. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a focus on GAAP compliance and grant reporting. As a Permanent Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations within the company, ensuring that financial statements are accurate and up-to-date, and managing the budgeting process. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial operations within the company, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
  • Ensure that financial statements are accurate and up-to-date, and comply with GAAP standards
  • Manage the budgeting process, including forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure that financial information is accurate and timely
  • Prepare and submit grant reports in a timely and accurate manner
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors
  • Provide financial analysis and advice to senior management to support strategic decision-making
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including banks, investors, and grantors

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA certification or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in the engineering industry
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP compliance and grant reporting
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
