Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to join our thriving Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong understanding of business and financial principles, possessing a proven track record in strategic planning, financial reporting and ownership of accounting. This role will involve overseeing all financial activities, including month-end, reporting, and cash flow. The Controller will be responsible for ensuring our company's financial security, integrity, and transparency. Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all company accounts and investments.
2. Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
3. Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
4. Synchronize all operations and processes of the finance department.
5. Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
6. Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation.
7. Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
8. Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.
9. Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
10. Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.
11. Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
2. 5+ years of experience in a business or finance environment; management experience; corporate and financial planning experience.
3. Proven experience as a Controller, Accounting Supervisor, or Senior Accountant, particularly in the manufacturing industry.
4. Strong understanding of business and financial principles and practices.
5. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.
6. Proficiency in Epicor.
7. Solid analytical and decision-making skills.
8. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
10. Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
12. Demonstrated leadership abilities.
