Job Details
As our Controller you will:
· Direct and coordinate all aspects of the finance department.
· Oversee and manage Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, Cash Flow, Contract and Subcontract Administration.
· Plan, oversee and manage borrowing and bonding activities.
· Rigorously follow the accounting and financial processes to ensure accurate financial accounting and control.
· Create and implement accountability systems and internal controls that prevent errors and inaccurate accounting documents. Ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations.
· Establish and maintain credit reporting requirements for new customers and establish credit limits and/or payment requirements.
· Oversee preparation of monthly, annual and other financial reports and statements as requested.
Experience We Need
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or in a related field.
· Professional certification as a Certified Public Accountant preferred.
· At least 7 - 10 years of progressive experience as a controller or other similar position. Prior accounting experience in a commercial construction company preferred.
· Exceptional knowledge of accounting and financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel, and experience or ability to learn Sage.
