We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Controller to oversee our company's financial operations and to ensure our business is running efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for budget management, financial analysis, payroll, forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who thrives in a busy workspace and is well-versed in working closely with senior management.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all company accounts and investments.
2. Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
3. Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
4. Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants.
5. Motivate and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback.
6. Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing.
7. Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation.
8. Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
9. Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.
10. Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
11. Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.
12. Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA preferred).
2. Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CPA).
3. 5+ years of proven experience in executive financial management role.
4. In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Internal Revenue Services (IRS) regulations, Kentucky Revised Statutes (KRS), Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) standards, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
5. Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
6. Able to analyze financial records and transfer information.
7. Data analysis skills and ability to spot numerical errors.
8. High attention to detail and accuracy.
9. Ability to direct and supervise.
10. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
11. Proficient user of finance software.
12. A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
13. Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
14. Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources.
