Controller

My client, a design agency, is looking to bring on a Controller to their team in Lenexa. The Senior Accountant will oversee and manage the financial operations of a creative design firm. They will lead the Accounting Department, responsible for overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliations, and Payroll processes.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures; implement controls to mitigate financial risks.
• Supervise the preparation of monthly financial reports to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare annual budgets and forecasts, highlighting significant variances for management review.
• Coordinate with external auditors, providing necessary information for annual audits.
• Handle confidential information discreetly and responsibly.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Office Suite (NetSuite experience is mandatory).
• Previous experience in the promotional product industry preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
