Job Details

Responsibilities:

As our Permanent Controller, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

1. Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting variances.
3. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
4. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
5. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
6. Support month-end and year-end close process.
7. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
8. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
9. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
10. Additional controller duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate the following qualifications:

1. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent.
2. 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
3. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
4. Experience with creating financial statements.
5. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
6. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
7. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex problems.
8. Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
9. High ethical standards and professionalism in personal and professional dealings.
10. Ability to work with a diverse team and influence/drive change across functional and business boundaries.
