Scope of Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
(Preferred Qualifications)
- Managing the preparation of all monthly, quarterly, and annual filings, including annual reports, along with other non-recurring filings as required
- Managing the preparation of monthly and quarterly earnings release financial statements and related supporting information
- Managing the tracking, reporting, and accounting for all of the company’s equity transactions, including all equity awards and associated stock compensation expense
- Researching and documenting complex or unusual accounting transactions and treatment of new accounting guidance
- Driving processes to improve the quality and timeliness of the financial close processes
- Participation in the company’s financial Disclosure Committee
- Depending on the skills of the individual, the Accounts Payable, Payment Applications, and Invoicing departments may also report up to this individual
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Masters & CPA is a plus!
- 5+ years of public accounting experience
- Extensive experience managing corporate accounting and reporting for a global private equity-backed company
(Preferred Qualifications)
- Detailed understanding of complex financial reporting requirements
- Experience managing the financial close process for a private equity-backed company
- Detailed understanding of SOX 404 compliance requirements
- Experience managing teams of professionals
- Ability to drive process improvement and act as an agent for change
- Ability to effectively research and document complex accounting transactions
- Experience accounting for mergers and acquisitions
- Understanding of equity accounting, especially stock-based compensation
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Familiarity with SAP ERP a plus
