Job Details

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Managing the preparation of all monthly, quarterly, and annual filings, including annual reports, along with other non-recurring filings as required
  • Managing the preparation of monthly and quarterly earnings release financial statements and related supporting information
  • Managing the tracking, reporting, and accounting for all of the company’s equity transactions, including all equity awards and associated stock compensation expense
  • Researching and documenting complex or unusual accounting transactions and treatment of new accounting guidance
  • Driving processes to improve the quality and timeliness of the financial close processes
  • Participation in the company’s financial Disclosure Committee
  • Depending on the skills of the individual, the Accounts Payable, Payment Applications, and Invoicing departments may also report up to this individual

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Masters & CPA is a plus!
  • 5+ years of public accounting experience
  • Extensive experience managing corporate accounting and reporting for a global private equity-backed company

(Preferred Qualifications)

  • Detailed understanding of complex financial reporting requirements
  • Experience managing the financial close process for a private equity-backed company
  • Detailed understanding of SOX 404 compliance requirements
  • Experience managing teams of professionals
  • Ability to drive process improvement and act as an agent for change
  • Ability to effectively research and document complex accounting transactions
  • Experience accounting for mergers and acquisitions
  • Understanding of equity accounting, especially stock-based compensation
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with SAP ERP a plus
