Our growing distribution company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who is adept at driving financial success. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial analysis, cash flow management, monthly reporting, and advanced Excel use. This role is integral to our operations and requires a strategic thinker who can provide financial insights that drive the company's growth, profitability and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
2. Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports appropriate for users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
3. Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit with approved external auditor.
4. Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
5. Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy.
6. Oversee the bookkeeping function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
7. Develop and implement policies and procedures as required to ensure that personnel and financial information is secure.
8. Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.
9. Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data, create financial models for decision support, and streamline cost analysis operations.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline. Master’s degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position with a proven record of success.
3. Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis, cash flow management, and monthly financial reporting.
4. Proficiency with advanced Excel functionalities such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.
5. Experience in a senior financial-management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.
6. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Strong interpersonal skills and experience collaborating with a diverse range of people and job functions.
8. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
9. Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
