We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our financial operations, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, budgeting, and tax functions. This position will play a crucial role in providing financial insights and driving business improvements. As a key member of our management team, the Permanent Controller will work closely with senior management to strategize and develop financial plans based on business goals and market dynamics.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all financial operations including AR, GL, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.
  • Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), US GAAP, and other applicable regulations.
  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage foreign currency transactions and hedging, understanding and mitigating potential risks.
  • Prepare and review all financial statements, reports, and budgets, providing detailed analysis and commentary.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit, ensuring all financial records are in compliance with A-133 regulations.
  • Liaise with NGOs and non-profit organizations, managing 314(a) requests and other related matters.
  • Develop and implement effective financial strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Provide financial leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the finance industry.
  • Proven expertise in IFRS, International Accounting, Foreign Currency, month-end close, AR, GL, payroll, fixed assets, cash management, US GAAP, A-133, NGOs, non-profit, and 314(a).
  • Strong proficiency in financial reporting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent strategic planning and financial analysis skills.
  • Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in clear terms.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
