Job Details

We are currently seeking a Corporate Controller or Assistant Controller to manage the accounting and financial reporting operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys the challenges of understanding business needs, and has a strong technical background in Corporate Accounting. We are seeking a hands-on strategic individual who works independently as well as in a highly collaborative team environment. Attention to detail, great communication skills (verbal & written), impressive organizational skills, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities


Assist in preparation of the monthly financial package for executive management, which includes Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, variance analysis and all related financial statements supporting documentation
Review and approve all general ledger accounting entries, including journal entries; accruals, prepaids and estimates; fixed assets and intangible accounts
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and maintenance of the GL chart of accounts
Prepare monthly/quarterly debt compliance package provided to lenders
Review and approve vendor remittance for payment and manage our corporate credit card and T&E program
Developing and implement corporate accounting policies to safeguard company assets and maintain strong controls
Prepare monthly/quarterly supporting schedules for complicated accounting matters such as software development costs, VIE analysis, warrants valuation, stock-based compensation, etc.
Help with completion of financial audits
Manage the annual tax returns and interim payments with our outsourced tax consultant
Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required
Prepare monthly broker dealer financial filings


Qualifications
10+ years of experience in corporate accounting for private or public corporate entities
Experience in SaaS software is a plus
Degree in accounting required
Experience in NetSuite or similar ERP required
Series 27 is a plus
Strong technical accounting skills
Experience with debt and equity reporting associated with financing transactions
Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills, including strong oral and written communication
