We are seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated Permanent Controller to join our Accounting + Finance team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our company's financial operations. As a Permanent Controller, you will lead our financial team, manage all aspects of financial reporting, and oversee our manufacturing accounting processes. You will be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of financial information, compliance with regulatory requirements, and management of internal controls.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and report variances.
- Manage the production of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Evaluate and implement internal controls to enhance financial accuracy and protection of assets.
- Coordinate and manage the annual audit process with external auditors.
- Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Implement and manage financial systems and software to ensure efficient and accurate operations.
- Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of proven accounting experience, preferably in a senior role.
- Solid experience in financial reporting and manufacturing accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced knowledge of accounting software.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a hands-on management style.
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
