Job Details:

We are in search of a Permanent Controller to join our dynamic finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in the financial management of our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and review of financial statements, month-end close review, audit preparation, and assisting the CFO with financial reporting for board meetings and Board Committee meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory
requirements.
  • Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
  • Coordinate all audit activity.
  • Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly,
quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the company’s
financial status.
  • Assist the CFO in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.
  • Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective internal controls.
  • Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all local, state, and federal tax returns.
  • Work closely with leadership team to formulate the company's future direction and support tactical initiatives.
  • Manage the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
  • Communicate effectively and respond to queries from the board of directors, CFO, and other company executives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CPA).
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven working experience as a Financial controller.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with creating financial statements.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills, preferably SAP.
  • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
  • Able to analyze financial records and transfer information.
  • Data analysis and forecasting skills.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to direct and supervise.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.
