Job Details
Position Summary: The Controller, reporting to the CFO, will be responsible for day to day accounting operations. This will include AP, AR, GL, Financial Reporting, Fund Accounting, Grants, and Audits. The Controller will oversee the accounting department, making continuous improvements to processes, systems, and departmental knowledge.

- Ensuring accounts & ledgers are accurate
- Timely processing of transactions
- Oversee general ledger and month-end close, including accounting reconciliations and journal entry review
- Manage AP and AR functions
- Collaborate with grants team to ensure proper allocations
- Grant accounting
- Contract management and documentation
- Payroll & benefits review
- Process improvements
- Team management and coaching
- Financial reporting to grant providers and governmental agencies
- Financial statements
- Manage fixed assets schedule
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and other projects with the CFO
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Non-profit accounting leadership experience
- ERP / accounting system expertise
- Grant accounting
- US GAAP
Preferred Qualifications:
- Government contract billing
- CPA
- Endowment management
