Job Details

We are currently seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting function for a respected healthcare organization in Bryan, Texas. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial operations, compliance, and cross-departmental coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department, including general accounting, accounts payable, payroll, cost accounting, and decision support.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, promoting accuracy, efficiency, and professional growth.
  • Assist the Chief Financial Officer with the annual budgeting process and other strategic financial initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and consultants to ensure compliance and timely reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with other department leaders to communicate financial procedures and support organization-wide accounting needs.
  • Deliver financial analysis and operational insight to guide informed decision-making.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Licensure/Certification: CPA license with an active permit to practice preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of financial management experience in a healthcare setting strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare finance, regulatory compliance, and cost accounting.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with excellent communication and analytical skills.
