We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our finance team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to oversee our financial operations, manage risk, and ensure compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, with a proven track record in managing budgets, cash flow, and financial statements. This role requires extensive knowledge in cost accounting, tax compliance, and physical inventory. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping financial strategies and driving operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee all financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, cash flow management, and general ledger.
2. Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
3. Manage all aspects of budgeting and forecasting, providing strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections.
4. Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies to protect the company's assets and finances.
5. Lead annual audit processes, coordinating with external auditors and managing internal controls.
6. Ensure compliance with tax laws, preparing and filing tax documents as required.
7. Oversee physical inventory processes, implementing strategies to optimize inventory management and control costs.
8. Collaborate with senior management to align financial management with short and long-term strategic goals.
9. Implement and manage ERP systems, ensuring optimal utilization for financial operations.
10. Provide leadership and supervision to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA) or professional certification (CPA or CMA) is highly preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost accounting principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Proven experience with financial statement preparation, tax compliance, cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting.
5. Experience with physical inventory management and cost accounting.
6. Proficient in risk assessment and risk management strategies.
7. Previous experience with ERP systems is required.
8. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
10. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound financial decisions.
