Controller

Our organization is the leading manufacturer of industrial machinery that produces durable steel buildings in days rather than weeks or months.

1. Overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.
2. Managing all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
3. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
4. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
5. Coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting.
6. Researching technical accounting issues for compliance.
7. Supporting month-end and year-end close process.
8. Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
9. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
10. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or MBA preferred.
2. 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
3. Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
4. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
5. Experience with creating financial statements.
6. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
7. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
8. Strong working knowledge of ERP systems.
9. Strong understanding of WIP, job costing, manufacturing, construction, GAAP, variance analysis, full cycle AP/AR, and payroll.
10. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
12. Strong organizational and leadership skills.
