We are seeking a hands-on Controller to join our growing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of accounting operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. This role is critical to our organization's financial health and will require a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of business strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Payroll, month-end close
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.
  • Design and conduct financial analysis and development of financial models for budgeting and new projects, products, and programs
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Implement/improve accounting and finance standard operating procedures
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Additional controller duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience with a degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
  • Proven working experience as a Financial controller within a growing company
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with creating financial statements.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and QuickBooks
  • Proven expertise in AP, AR, Payroll, and Bank Reconciliations.
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
  • Ability to direct and supervise.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
