Job Responsibilities:

Coordinate the month-end close process and prepare financial statements.
Handle customer invoices and payments, including preparing invoices for prior day’s shipments and credit invoices as needed.
Oversee accounts payable by processing/supervising vendor payments via check or wire transfer and reconciling related accounts.
Reconcile cash balances daily by reviewing/managing activity in bank and loan accounts electronically and reconciling with company records.
Prepare and post adjusting journal entries as necessary.
Post customer payments and review credit requests and collections of overdue accounts.
Perform general accounting functions, including account reconciliations, managing fixed assets, inventory, and other month-end close activities.
Prepare and submit monthly sales tax returns and use tax on sales.
Process returned material authorizations (RMAs).
Prepare financial reports and ad-hoc reports for operational review and decision-making.
Seek continuous improvement and automation opportunities.
Provide explanations for budget vs. actual variances as required.
Manage and support accounting staff.
