As a Controller in the Construction Industry, you will play a pivotal role in steering the financial future of our organization. This is a high-level, dynamic role that requires a combination of strong financial acumen, leadership skills, and construction industry knowledge. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations, providing strategic financial analysis, and ensuring accurate job costing. This role is ideal for a seasoned financial professional who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and has a passion for the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all aspects of the organization's financial and accounting operations, including the design and maintenance of the financial reporting structures.
2. Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
3. Implement and manage robust financial analysis processes to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth.
4. Ensure accurate job costing, identifying any discrepancies and implementing corrective measures as needed.
5. Collaborate with project managers and other key stakeholders to develop and monitor project budgets.
6. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
7. Provide financial insights and recommendations to the senior management team, supporting the development of the organization's strategic plans.
8. Manage the preparation of the company's budget and financial forecasts, providing regular updates to the senior management team.
9. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s Degree or CPA certification will be considered an asset.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role, preferably within the construction industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, accounting, financial analysis, and job costing.
4. Proven experience in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
5. Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
7. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Proficiency in the use of financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
9. A strong understanding of the construction industry, including knowledge of construction cost accounting and project management.
10. A strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and an ability to make sound financial decisions.
