We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Controller to oversee our accounting and finance department. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to the financial success of our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a focus on strategic planning, budgeting, and financial analysis. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of our financial operations, including financial reporting, tax planning, budget management, and cash forecasting. This position requires a hands-on approach, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
2. Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with CEO, COO and Board of Directors.
3. Study, analyze and report on trends, opportunities for expansion and projection of future company growth.
4. Develop, implement and maintain all necessary financial controls, systems and processes to ensure the efficient and effective management of the company’s finances.
5. Direct the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
6. Review reports to analyze projections of sales and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, and suggests methods of improving the planning process as appropriate.
7. Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal controls.
8. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.

Qualifications:

1. A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. A master's degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
3. Proficiency in accounting software including Excel and QuickBooks.
4. Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Experience in strategic planning and execution.
6. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
7. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
8. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and guide a team.
9. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
10. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
11. Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively and delegate.
