Our company is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Permanent Controller to join our dynamic finance team. This role will oversee the company's financial operations and accounting, ensuring compliance with the US GAAP and other regulatory standards. As a Permanent Controller, you will be responsible for streamlining our accounting functions and operations, providing financial analysis and reports, training staff on business finance issues, promoting regulatory compliance, and driving income improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs, and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
  • Regularly produce financial reports or statements to provide stakeholders with a clear understanding of the company's financial standing.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, upholding federal, state, and local legal standards by remaining knowledgeable about existing, new, and future legislation.
  • Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
  • Communicate financial metrics to senior management and provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner.
  • Propose action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained.
  • Support the CFO in engaging the board's audit and finance committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
  • Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance role.
  • Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments.
  • A thorough knowledge of QuickBooks, Bill.com, and other accounting and financial software applications.
  • Proficient in B2B SaaS, month-end close, process improvement, 409A analyses, Sales Tax, Revenue Recognition, Budgeting & Forecasting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience establishing and monitoring performance metrics.
  • Strong leadership qualities and a team-focused attitude.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
