Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated individual to join our team as a Permanent Controller. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a thriving, fast-paced engineering industry where your expertise in financial reporting, month-end close, and deferred revenue will be highly valued. As an Assistant Controller, you will play a critical role in financial decision-making and operations as you will be responsible for the oversight of all accounting and financial activities. This position requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of our accounting and financial operations.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform month-end close procedures, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
• Manage the deferred revenue process and ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with company policies and GAAP.
• Assist in developing and implementing internal control policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
• Participate in the budgeting process and perform financial forecasting.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
• Assist in various special projects as they arise, including system implementations, process improvements, and more.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.
• Comprehensive understanding of GAAP and experience with financial reporting, month-end close, and deferred revenue.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
